Daishaun Grimes, a linebacker from Central Florida, orally committed to Temple on Saturday afternoon.

The 6-2 foot, 193-pounder will be a senior this fall at Harmony High in Saint Cloud, Fla. He chose the Owls over offers from Eastern Michigan, Memphis, Florida Atlantic, and Florida International. Temple offered Grimes a scholarship in May.

He averaged seven tackles a game last season and recorded four interceptions. Grimes runs the 40-yard dash in 4.79 seconds.

Here’s a link to his highlight tape.
