Fitzpatrick named most improved offensive player

Temple football coach Steve Addazio presented awards to six Owls during halftime of Saturday’s Cherry & White game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Here are the Cherry & White award winners:

Mark Bresani Award for Spirit: Running back Matt Brown

Brown showed the most spirit and enthusiasm towards practice and participation in the Temple program.

Gavin White Local 215 Award: tight end Wanemi Omuso

Omuso gets this for being the best non-scholarship player during the spring-practice period.

Defensive Most Improved Player: linebacker Ahkeem Smith

Smith was the most improved defensive player during the spring-practice period.

Offensive Most Improved Player: Running back Jalen Fitzpatrick

Fitzpatrick was the most improved offensive player during the spring-practice period.

Owl Club Academic Award: Former offensive tackle Pat Boyle

Of the graduating former Temple players, Boyle has the highest grade-point average.
