Temple point guard Juan Fernandez signed a multi-year contract this morning to play professional basketball for EA7 Olimpia Milano, a top-level Italian basketball team.

"I'm obviously really, really happy," said the point guard, who will graduate from Temple this summer.

Fernandez will receive a high six-figure salary, according to a source with knowledge. Fernandez and Milano reached the agreement in Portsmouth, Va.  Fernandez is there this week competing in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

The 22-year-old Argentine was among 64 college seniors making early auditions for NBA and overseas personnel.
