Temple coach Fran Dunphy was asked Saturday to give an update on injured swingman Scootie Randall.

The 6-foot-6 senior, who is the Owls' emotional leader, has yet to play this season after having surgery on his left knee.

"I think in another couple of weeks, he will be able to run with some decent speed," said Dunphy, whose squad (4-2) defeated Central Michigan, 86-74, on Saturday. "I would say we could be seeing him at the end of the month. That would be great if we can, because we need him. We need his voice. We need his leadership. He’s been great. He hasn’t played a minute and he’s been great for us."

Randall also missed seven games last season with a hairline fracture in his right foot. He averaged 10.7 points and 4.7 rebounds on a team that finished 26-8 and reached the third round of the NCAA tournament.
