Dennis signs with Dolphins

Temple offensive lineman Derek Dennis signed a free-agent contract with the Miami Dolphins late Saturday night after the NFL Draft.

Dennis chose the Dolphins over free-agent offers from the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans.

The 23-year-old, who graduated from Temple with a broadcast degree in December, started all 13 of last season’s games at left guard. However, Dennis has also played center and tackle during his college career.
