DeCosey picks Temple

Quenton DeCosey, a 6-foot-5 senior swingman at St. Joseph-Metuchen (N.J.), gave an oral commitment Wednesday to play basketball at Temple.

"I chose Temple University, mainly, because of the coaching staff and the atmosphere and the distance," he told SNY.tv. "It's only an hour-and-a half away."

DeCosey, who also had scholarship offers from Penn State, West Virginia and Virginia Tech, averaged 23.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3 steals and 2.6 blocks last season.

He joins Lincoln Park's 6-foot-10 center Devontae Watson as Temple's recruits for the Class of 2012.
