Coaches pick Temple fifth in AAC

The Temple men's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the American Athletic Conference's coaches poll this morning.

The Temple men's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the American Athletic Conference's coaches poll this morning.

Defending national champion Louisville received nine of a possible 10 first-place votes in the poll. The other first-place vote went to Connecticut, which finished second in the voting.

Memphis finished third in the voting and Cincinnati finished fourth.

Louisville guard Russ Smith was voted the AAC Preseason Player of the Year. SMU freshman guard Keith Frazier was voted rookie of the year.
