Francis Brown and Dave Mathewson have been named assistant directors of football operations at Temple.

Brown will focus on internal operations, working with player development and community service projects.  Mathewson will handle external operations, working with football camp and recruiting.

Brown coached the defensive backs at Paul VI High School prior to joining the Owls. The New Jersey native has also worked as a football trainer at Nexxt Level Sports as well as helping with several area summer camps.

Mathewson served as a student assistant coach during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, working with the defense and special teams. He has worked in recruiting and staff coordination. He assisted with the creation of weekly practice schedules, scouting reports, and motivational signage.  Mathewson has also worked with Temple’s football operations, helping with the Owls’ summer camps.
