Folks realize that Matt Brown and Brandon McManus are two of Temple’s most important players.

Perhaps that’s why the seniors are named to the  College Football Performance Awards 2012 preseason watch lists.

Brown, a running back, has been named to the CFPA all-purpose watch list. McManus, a placekicker/punter, is on both the placekicker and specialist lists.

Brown had 155 carries for 916 yards and six touchdowns last season. The 5-foot-5, 170-pounder was also a standout special teams’ player.
