Temple placekicker/punter, Brandon McManus, was named the Big East specialist of the week on Monday.

The senior made two field goals (33 and 42 yards) in Saturday’s 24-13 setback to Penn State. He also averaged 48.5 yards on six punts.

This is McManus’ second conference specialist-of-the-week award this season.

He leads the Big East in scoring (nine points per game) and has a school-record 52 career field goals made.

Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova was named the conference’s offensive player of the week. Louisville cornerback Adrian Bushell is the defensive player of the week.
