Nick Visco, a senior placekicker at Archbishop Wood, will head to Temple as a preferred walk-on.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder made six field goals and 66 extra points this past season to become a Philadelphia all-Catholic League selection. Visco also received Pennsylvania Class AAA second-team all-state honors.

Mainland senior Jim Cooper will Temple’s other incoming freshman kicker in 2013. Cooper, who will be a scholarship player, participated in the US Army All-American Bowl.
