Akrum Wadley, a senior at Weequahic High School (N.J.), gave an oral commitment Sunday night to play football at Temple.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder was recognized as a second-team all-state selection by the Newark Star-Ledger. He was also a standout defensive back and kick returner for the Indians this past season.

Wadley carried the ball 105 times for 1,548 yards (14.7 yards per carry) and 29 scores, according to Maxpreps.com
