Addazio on his decision to start Stewart

Temple coach Steve Addazio talks about his decision to name Chester Stewart the starting quarterback over Mike Gerardi for Saturday's game at Maryland.

The first-year coach decision was based on Stewart's performance in last Saturday's 14-10 setback to Penn State.

Stewart completed 3 of 6 passes for 28 yards that game. He also had nine carries for 19 yards. Stewart is 4 of 8 for 46 yards passing on the season.

Gerardi, who started the first three games, went 9 of 22 for 95 yards and two interceptions against the Nittany Lions. For the season,  he is 30 of 59 passes for 423 yards to go with three touchdowns and the two interceptions.
