Temple football coach Steve Addazio building 'for the long haul'

Steve Addazio wants all Philadelphians to be proud of his Temple Owls.

With that said, the Temple coach doesn't think his team should be judged solely by this season's win-loss total.

"We are building something here for the long haul," Addazio said.

The Owls return just nine starters from last season's 9-4 squad. Temple rejoined the Big East this summer after spending the past five seasons as a  football-only member of the Mid-American Conference.

The Owls are also enjoying $10 million worth of renovations to Edberg-Olson Hall, their practice facility.

This a new era for Temple football. One that Addazio wants Philadelphians to embrace, while remaining patient.
