Temple safety Justin Gildea knows first-hand what Penn State football means to Central Pennsylvanians.

Growing up, the Altoona native attended countless Nittany Lion games with his father, Stephen, a PSU alumnus.

"It’s kind of like a cult type of thing," the senior said. "Everybody from around that area all they talk about is Penn State.  Every Saturday is Penn State football. Penn State this. Penn State that.

"So I guess you can say like it’s a big cult following kind of thing."
