The Temple Owls have scored three touchdowns on long rives but trail No. 15 CFU by just 22-21 at the end of the first half of their American Athletic Conference game at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Temple Owls have scored three touchdowns on long rives but trail No. 15 CFU by just 22-21 at the end of the first half of their American Athletic Conference game at Lincoln Financial Field.

After falling behind 5-0 on a safety and a field goal, the Owls responded with three scoring drives in the second quarter, one for 80 yards and the other two for 82 each. Temple scored on pair of touchdown passes of 32 and 30 yards to Jamie Gilmore and Robby Anderson, respectively.

Both passes were thrown by quarterback P.J. Walker, who also scored on a 3-yard keeper. Walker has looked good, completing 18 of 24 passes for 240 yards and a pair of touchdowns with no interceptions.

CFU, which sits atop the AAC, took the lead on Shawn Moffitt’s field goal with time expiring in the first half.
