Out and About correspondent Maria Papadakis heads to South Broad Street to visit the Philadelphia International of the Arts Street Fair.
The East Passyunk Business District welcomed 25 restaurants to South Philadelphia's largest outdoor food and drink festival, Flavors of the Avenue, on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
The event is an annual benefit to raise funds for EPABID's public safety programs. Many of East Passyunk's award-winning restaurants and bars offered samples of their signature dishes and drinks under the cover of a big white tent.

Brewery Ommegang's Philly Hop Chef competition took place last night at Union Transfer. The event featured six local culinary stars who were given the task of pairing beers with their dishes.
Competing chefs included Eli Kulp of Fork, Yun Fuentes of JG Domestic, Lucio Palazzo of La Calaca Feliz, Nick Macri of Southwark, Pat Szoke of The Industry and Mike Deganis of Alla Spina. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the Mural Arts Program and Groundswell.
The People's Choice winner was Yun Fuentes of JG Domestic and the judges winner was Nick Macri of Southwark.
Candice Kochenour, Founder and President of Labs with a Heart, and Dana Spain, Founder and President of PAWS, hosted a group of women for an afternoon of high tea and fashion at a private club in Center City on Saturday afternoon. Guests indulged in tea sandwiches, as well as delicious tea and cocktails.

Out of the five hundred groups that entered Radio 104.5's Battle of the Bands competition, only four made it to the finals: Hold Your Own, Jackson Kingsley, Rivers Monroe and Goodnight Lights on Saturday night at Aloft.
By the end of the night, Rivers Monroe was crowned champions of this year's competition.
