The East Passyunk Business District welcomed 25 restaurants to South Philadelphia's largest outdoor food and drink festival, Flavors of the Avenue, on Saturday, April 27, 2013. The event is an annual benefit to raise funds for EPABID's public safety programs. Many of East Passyunk's award-winning restaurants and bars offered samples of their signature dishes and drinks under the cover of a big white tent.

After Dark is a new series, from photographer Tim Blackwell (aka Shots Fired), that features a photo recap of different weekend events happening in Philadelphia.

This weekend, Tim made stops at the Skate Or Die 2 Art Show at Tattooed Mom, the Mighty #master Party at Silk City and the Sundae party at Baby Blues BBQ.

The Parkinson Council held their Spring Swing event at the Comcast Center on April 24, 2013. The affair was held to honor Parkinson's Awareness Month with an elegant and fun after-work party.

Behind all the fun, this serious effort that helped fund local programs and research to improve the life of Parkinson's patients and their families in the Philadelphia area.

Last night Philly.com hosted Philly Tech Week program A/S/L: Love and Tech.

Geekadelphia co-founder and author Eric Smith, author/Shmitten Kitten blogger Anna Goldfarb, and online dating expert Erika Ettin shared humorous and heartfelt stories about their quest for love on the world wide web.

Thanks to the Melting Pot, Pretzel Crisps, Art in the Age, and Nature's Gallery Florists for providing food, booze, and ambience.

Brewery Ommegang's Philly Hop Chef competition took place last night at Union Transfer. The event featured six local culinary stars who were given the task of pairing beers with their dishes.

Competing chefs included Eli Kulp of Fork, Yun Fuentes of JG Domestic, Lucio Palazzo of La Calaca Feliz, Nick Macri of Southwark, Pat Szoke of The Industry and Mike Deganis of Alla Spina. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the Mural Arts Program and Groundswell.

The People's Choice winner was Yun Fuentes of JG Domestic and the judges winner was Nick Macri of Southwark.

Candice Kochenour, Founder and President of Labs with a Heart, and Dana Spain, Founder and President of PAWS, hosted a group of women for an afternoon of high tea and fashion at a private club in Center City on Saturday afternoon. Guests indulged in tea sandwiches, as well as delicious tea and cocktails.

Kimberly Boutique hosted a fashion show with the latest springtime styles and attendees were able to browse and shop the designs of Tamra Gill. A silent auction raffled off two beautiful Tiffany & Co. bracelets to a lucky few.

The "paws with a cause" foundation brought a number of adoptable dogs that ended up finding themselves a new home!

Out of the five hundred groups that entered Radio 104.5's Battle of the Bands competition, only four made it to the finals: Hold Your Own, Jackson Kingsley, Rivers Monroe and Goodnight Lights on Saturday night at Aloft.

By the end of the night, Rivers Monroe was crowned champions of this year's competition.
