Photos: The Barnes Young Professionals Night: Haute Metal

The Young Professionals of The Barnes gathered at the museum Friday night for its 8th event since moving the museum to the Ben Franklin Parkway. Guests enjoyed an evening of music, mingling and taking in the art collection, including the new temporary exhibit “Strength and Splendor: Wrought Iron from the Musée Le Secq des Tournelles, Rouen” and commissioned installation “Ellen Harvey: Metal Painting.” Both exhibits highlight 887 pieces of ironwork and runs through January 4, 2016. The young professionals enjoyed dancing to the sounds of Future Type, outside on the patio, and more. Tickets were affordable at $30, members for $15 and the Young Friends Members got in for free. I was glad the weather was cooperating as the place was packed by 9 p.m. but there was still a decent amount of room for those who desired to let loose on the dance floor, and they did.
