The third annual Shining Star Awards benefiting the March of Dimes Foundation was held at the Westin Hotel Friday night.
The annual event, which honors six special children, highlights the organization's mission to improve the health of babies by focusing on the causes of prematurity, infant mortality and birth defects. The awards were presented by players from the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, 76ers and Union.
