Photos: Philadelphia's Dîner en Blanc

The summer’s most sought after "secret," Dîner en Blanc returned to Philadelphia last night popping-up on JFK Bridge with the beautiful backdrop of 30th Street Station.

This summer's most sought-after local event, Dîner en Blanc, returned to Philly for its second year Thursday night.

The pop-up picnic took place on the JFK Bridge with 30th St. Station illuminating the backdrop of the "secret" dinner. The concept, originating in Paris, is part-feast, part-spectacle. Dîner en Blanc founder Francois Pasquier wanted his guests to wear white to a picnic so they could easily find each other.

The event has now spread to 40 cities around the globe. Attendees clad in head-to-toe white packed their own food, drinks and settings. Thousands gathered for the romantic event, surrounded by friends and strangers - many of whom became chummy by evening's end.
