The Made on American Street: A BBQ Rib Competition, hosted by the Philadelphia Homebrew Club, invited local BBQ experts and private brewers to share their craft with the public and participate in a healthy competition on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
While the event was well organized, involving both professional judges as well as a vote by the public, the main draw was the block party atmosphere, which lacked any pretense and felt like a labor of love. It spoke for itself, as the event had a strong community showing appreciative of exceptional food and brews.
