Last night at the Kimmel Center award-winning trombonist Jeff Bradshaw presented HOME. Bradshaw, a Grammy-nominated musician, brought along several of his recording artist friends who performed, and will be featured on a forthcoming compilation, which is due out this fall. The live performances included Trombone Shorty, Take 6, Marsha Ambrosius, Kim Burrell, Najee, Kenny Lattimore, and Eric Roberson.
There were a number of surprise performances, including an appearance from Black Thought of the Roots. During in the show was a special tribute to singer-songwriter and producer Will Downing. Before the concert, Mayor Michael Nutter presented Bradshaw, a North Philadelphia native, with a Proclamation from the City.
