The Philadelphia Auto Show's Black Tie Tailgate was held Friday, Jan. 18 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

This annual philanthropic event hosted by the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) raises funds to benefit the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). With 30,000 patient visits every year, the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition was recently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the number one GI program in the country. Last year, the ADAGP with support from Black Tie Tailgate attendees, individual contributors, and sponsors, made a donation of $401,038 to CHOP.

The ADAGP made its first donation to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 1986. Since then, the ADAGP and its entities have given $4.9 million to the Hospital and its support proudly continues today through its Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation. Established in 2003, the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, annually contributes funding and resources to worthwhile child-related programs and causes throughout the Greater Philadelphia five-county region. Its mission is to enhance and enrich the lives of children and youth in the communities in which its dealer members work and live, by providing access to and supporting excellence in the institutions and programs that serve local children.
