RUN215 brings back #nightshiftphl on May 26

If you missed the first #nightshiftphl (and your chance to score one of those coveted RUN215 wristbands), listen up! Tomorrow, RUN215 and November Project are bringing back their totally awesome late-night fun run!

On Tuesday, May 26 at 10 p.m., meet Jon Lyons of RUN215 and Suzanne Allaire of November Project for a 3-mile tour around Philly complete with glow sticks and an awesome "night"-themed playlist. (Think: Justin Timberlake's "Take Back the Night" and Bob Seger's "Night Moves".)

The first #nightshiftphl, which debuted on April 1, was a huge hit. The 5K course started at Perch Pub at Locust and Broad Streets and wound through the city with pit stops at three parks. Runners made their way to Washington Square West where Allaire led a round of push-ups and step-ups on benches, then Dilworth Park for squats and lastly, Rittenhouse Square for some jumping jacks and never-ending planks. The tour wrapped up at Misconduct Tavern with Southern Tier beer specials for all.

This month, Night Shift will start at 3rd and Market Streets and finish at National Mechanics in Old City for an epic night of karaoke (and of course, more beer specials). The karaoke theme will be incorporated throughout the run so get ready for some wacky, sing-along-type pit stops on this tour.

"The last Night Shift had this great party atmosphere and I felt like it really helped to show what running is all about," said Lyons. "Yes you sweat, and PRs are important — but at it's core, running is supposed to be fun and that's the driving force behind this pop-up event."

Salming Shoes will also be on-hand before the run to give participants a test drive of their sneaks on a first come, first serve basis. Since Salming is a Swedish company, we hear there might be other Swedish goodies on hand. Swedish fish, anyone?

The run is free; all you have to do is show up! Info at run215.com.
