Mark your calendars: The Philly 10K returns August 30

The inaugural Philly 10K was such a smash hit last September that Philadelphia Runner is bringing it back this year on Sunday, August 30th. According to Ryan Callahan, outreach director for the Philadelphia Runner, great plans are in the works, but nothing to announce just yet except for the date. "People were asking for the date so that they can plan ahead so we wanted to get that out now," he said.

The first ever Philly 10K that was held on Saturday, September 6 started and ended in the Passyunk Square section of South Philly. The course took runners through multiple neighborhoods that had previously never been raced and passed city landmarks like the Italian Market, St. Augustine Church, and under the Reading Viaduct and the Ben Franklin Bridge.
