Obit: Frank Montemurro, barber was a familiar figure in Haddonfield

POSTED: Monday, June 13, 2011, 9:50 AM

Frank J. Montemurro, 56, who ran Frank's Men Hair Styling in Haddonfield for over 30 years, died Saturday.

A death notice did not provide a cause, saying only that Mr. Monemurro, who lived in Berlin, died suddenly.

Survivors include his wife Suzanne, children Alyssa Montemurro and Frank Montemurro Jr., and mother  Angelina Montemurro.

A visitation is set for 9:30 am to noon Wednesday at St. Mary's Church / Our Lady of Peace Parish, Main Street and Carroll Avenue, Williamstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon.

I agree Doctor D, he will be sorely missed. I have been going to Frank's since I was 9 and have many fond memories of the place. I would always go there at 8-9am on a Saturday to try to beat the crowd. Surrounded by 60 year old men, and hungover as hell(no, not when I was 9), he would always manage to force a laugh from me. I need a haircut this weekend and I have no idea where to go. R.I.P., Frank.
