Two separate females reported sex offenses to police after being grabbed from behind in Lower Merion Township's Penn Valley Monday.

Cops: Two women groped in Penn Valley

Two victims reported sexual offenses to the Lower Merion Police Department yesterday after two separate attacks in Penn Valley.

In the first incident, a 26-year-old woman was walking down Montgomery Avenue in front of the Chabad of the Main Line at 9:55 a.m. when she was approached from behind by a white or Hispanic male who grabbed her buttocks, police said.

The suspect was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and cap, and was described by the victim as approximately 5’10.”  He fled south on Haverford Avenue. The victim could not discern his age because he was mostly concealed by his sweatshirt.

The second incident occurred nearby, and about 12 hours later, in front of the McCauley Convent on the 500 block of Montgomery Avenue, when an unknown male grabbed a 34-year-old woman from behind. The man pulled her to the ground and groped her. 

The suspect was described as about 5’8” and wearing an all-black hooded sweatshirt, pants and a knit hat. He was last seen running south on Haverford Avenue.
