Former PICA executive director takes CFO position in Montgomery County

After announcing he would leave his post as executive director of the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority in Philadelphia, Uri Monson is moving a county over.

Monson will be the Chief Financial Officer of Montgomery County, where he is a resident in Wynnewood.

Part of Commissioners-elect Josh Shapiro and Leslie Richards’ transition team, Monson will help oversee the $417 million budget passed two weeks ago by the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. The budget will raise taxes by about 17 percent and increase county spending by $13.4 million.
