A 1930s bash for Main Line Art Center's 75th Soiree and Auction

The Main Line Art Center’s annual Spring Soiree and Auction is a 1930s-themed party to celebrate the center’s 75 years in existence, as well as the service and retirement of Executive Director Judy Herman.

Art lovers desiring an evening with hors d'oeurves, live swing music and one-of-kind artwork have less than two weeks to purchase tickets for the Main Line Art Center's 75th Anniversary Spring Soiree and Silent Auction.

The Soiree on Saturday, April 14 is a 1930s-themed bash inspired by the decade of the center's founding.

Guests will not only celebrate with Executive Director Judy Herman – who's retiring after 25 years with the center – but will also be treated to a private viewing of Out of the Attic: 75 Years of History, the center's historical exhibition serves as backdrop to the event.

Attendees will also have the chance to bid in a unique silent auction, featuring art from more than 30 talented artists in the area, such as Tish Ingersoll, Val Rossman and Bill Scott. Other bidding items include vintage watches and jewelry, sporting event, packages and memorabilia, performance tickets, fine wine, gift certificates to local restaurants and the opportunity to host a private event in the center's galleries, featuring custom invitations and live entertainment.

General admission tickets for the 6:30 p.m. entry are $75, and the 6 p.m. VIP entry and reception with Herman are $100 per person. Tickets to the event go toward support for the center's education and community outreach programs.

To purchase tickets, call 610-525-0272, ext. 13.
