Spices in Moroccan chicken and couscous remind students of Indian food

Alison Morales and Sami Springer taste the Moroccan chicken and couscous that they learned to make as part of the Spring 2017 My Daughter's Kitchen cooking program at St. Augustine.

As the girls came into the kitchen on Wednesday to read the recipes and begin the prep we realized we would have only three participants for this meal! Jayla Hale, Alison Morales, and Sammi Springer were up to the tasks, and they put all of their knowledge they had learned in the last weeks into their jobs. Turmeric was a new spice to them." It smells like Indian food" was the comment as we talked about different spices used in other countries. We made the Strawberry Crisp bars with the Granny Smith Apple -delicious!
