Lentil soup a chance to cook on top of the stove

Young chefs at Bayard Taylor show off the lentil soup and waldorf salad that they made during week 5 of the fall 2016 My Daughter's Kitchen cooking program.

There is nothing that the Bayard-Taylor chefs enjoy more than chopping veggies and cooking on top of the stove. So they loved the process of making the lentil soup. Not one had ever eaten a lentil, but everyone was willing to try it (how could they not when it smelled so good?) and even Yasemily, our very picky eater, liked it. Everyone wanted to take some of the leftover soup home to share with someone in their family.
