Week7: Dessert first!

Zaniyah Brown, Laila Jackson-Clay, Amorae Wolf, and Nina Ramunno make curried chicken with cauliflower, apricots, and olives during week 7 of My Daughter’s Kitchen at Russell Byers and General George A. McCall schools.

 When the chicken took longer to cook than we expected, the girls got a lesson in timing dishes and improvising. They elected to eat their dessert first, and almost all of them really enjoyed the strawberry shortcake. "It's very good and fluffy" said Amorae Wolf. Zaniyah Brown didn't care for the strawberries, which she had carefully hulled with a straw, but she loved the vanilla yogurt. "It's the best!" she said.
