Week 8: Healthy dishes find new fans

Russell Byers student Laila Jackson-Clay and her mother Nicole Jackson-Clay enjoy the My Daughter's Kitchen recipes that students prepared during the final session of the program, Spring 2016.

Teamwork was essential as we prepared three dishes and set a beautiful table for our last class together. Clam chowder, curried chicken, and strawberry shortcake were on the menu, reflecting the various preferences and taste buds of our student chefs. Nicole Jackson-Clay, mother and guest of Laila Jackson-Clay shared, “I wasn’t a fan of clam chowder until Laila made it for me at home.”  A healthy and tasty new dish prepared by our students for their families...our mission accomplished!
