Week 6: A brand-new tasting experience

Phoenix Diaz chops onions for the New England clam chowder recipe that students made during week 6 of the My Daughter’s Kitchen cooking program at St. Martin of Tours.

This week at Saint Martin of Tours, the students chowed down on New England Clam Chowder with Cheddar Cornbread. Only Iris Sanchez had eaten clam chowder before, so it was a brand-new tasting experience for the rest of the students. That being said, the students analyzed every bite! Phoenix Diaz said, "Hmmm, it's very chewy." Dina Odehouri said, "I like how soft the potatoes and carrots are." Clifton Debrosse simply said, "Mmmm, it's good and I like it", as he continued to dip his cornbread into the chowder to eat. The students cannot believe how much they have learned and experienced in the past six weeks, and look forward to learning and trying something new next week.
