Week 4: Crudité with Homemade Ranch Dip

Students at Urban Promise school prepared crudite with homemade ranch dressing during week 4 of the My Daughter’s Kitchen program.

Makes 6 servings


For dipping:

4 carrots, peeled and sliced into sticks

4 celery sticks, washed and sliced into sticks

2 red peppers, washed and sliced into strips

For the ranch:

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon chives

1/2 teaspoon parsley

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper


1. In a large bowl, whisk together all the ranch ingredients.

2. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

3. Enjoy with sliced vegetables.

Per serving: 92 calories, 5 grams protein, 10 grams carbohydrates, 5 grams sugar, 4 grams fat, 4 milligrams cholesterol, 171 milligrams sodium, 1 gram dietary fiber.
