My Daughter's Kitchen students and volunteers at Bayard Taylor celebrate their graduation from the cooking program, May 3, 2017.

The students were excited to cook for their families and show off their newly learned skills.

Two weeks ago we showed them how to set a proper table with beautiful placements, napkins, flowers and plates. They loved this, especially the girls. Setting the table made them feel as though it was special so we did it again today.

It was beautiful and they took such pride in making it special for the family.

The kids served the guests the food as though they were servers. On the menu was: tortellini salad with zucchini and peas; garlic bread, and strawberry shortcakes with yogurt creme. When dinner was over they cleared the tables, washed the dishes and put away everything.

They were very excited to get their certificates, and we all took a group photo!!!

It was a wonderful day for all.
