'The fish is the bomb.com'

This week students were excited to see tortillas as an ingredient.  Many students said that they had not eaten sweet potatoes before. We got to work chopping but the sweet potatoes proved to be very difficult to cut.  Taking turns helped us to get it all done.  Elizabeth was a brave volunteer to chop up the cilantro since no one enjoyed the smell of it.  While the girls were hesitant to try to slaw and the sauce, they all put at least a little bit on their fish tacos to taste.  The fish itself was a huge hit.  "The fish is the bomb.com," noted Nyvia Meas as they ate. While most of the rest of the meal was left on the plates, we were proud of each other for at least trying new foods and talked about how sometimes it takes a while for you to like new foods.
