Students learn to core peppers for beef stir fry

Students and volunteers get ready to try the beef stir fry that they learned to make during week 3 of the fall 2017 My Daughter's Kitchen cooking program at LaSalle Academy.

The girls did the cooking this week and did a great job, especial​​​​​​​​ly since it was the first time some ever cored a pepper. This wasn't a stir fry they were familiar with, mainly because there were green beans in it. But when it was cooking and they got a whiff of the aroma, they were pleasantly surprised. Gaby Gonzalez wasn't a big fan of the quinoa by itself, but with the stir fry on top, loved it! Basir Jones cleaned his plate and Alivia Klancic said this was her favorite meal so far.
