Herbed drumsticks, carrot cake for a delightful finale

The students were excited to be preparing for guests today. They chose to repeat the herbed drumsticks, slaw and carrot cake for the menu. Jannah was pleased that we were using white cabbage in the slaw this time. Troy and Sabria prepared the chicken while Mamouna, Cassidhe and Jannah made the cake. 

While the chicken & cake were in the oven, the group made the slaw and set a beautiful table, with the understanding of how to set a table.  The students and guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal.  This was the last session and the students were delighted to receive certificates, wooden spoons and recipe books of all they had prepared in the classes.  They wanted to celebrate their cooking accomplishments with a dance party…but time had run out and they had to leave for home.
