Namirah Johnson and Jameelah Cartagena crack eggs for breakfast burritos during week 1 of the Spring 2018 My Daughter's Kitchen cooking program at Wissahickon Charter School, Awbury Campus.

The students at Wissahickon Awbury had a great first lesson and worked very well as a team. They taught each other how to cut onions, the difference between a tablespoon and a teaspoon, how to saute the vegetable mixture, and more. The students were mostly pleased with the burrito, though some alterations were suggested. Mostly, it seemed that they enjoyed each other’s company! Beyah Brooks said: “Today was super fun; we did a lot of cool stuff. I learned a lot!”
