Carrots, pineapple blended into surprisingly delicious carrot cake

Lydia Williams, Marquan Richardson, and Kieshiya Davis learn how to make chicken stir-fry during week 7 of the fall 2016 My Daughter's Kitchen cooking program at Sacred Heart.

Today's cooking class was all about the carrot cake. Walking into the kitchen Elijah Anthony asked, "Does it really have carrots in it?" It was difficult for him to imagine this. Later he conceded, "I thought I wasn't going to like it because of the carrots, but I really liked it!"
The pineapple in the cake caused some concern as well. Kieshiya Davis voiced her opinion, "I hate pineapple, but it surprisingly tasted good."
Talear Morris added, "I didn't know it would taste that good, and I am not a big fan of pineapple. I thought it tasted really exotic!"
