A celebratory feast of turkey, mushroom tacos and parmesan-crusted zucchini fries

Liliana Hernandez,Irene Cabrelli ,Alison Morales,Jayla Hale, and Samantha Springer prepare the final meal of the Spring 2017 My Daughter's Kitchen cooking program at St. Augustine Academy.

It was hard for all of us to believe eight weeks of cooking together was coming to an end. After much discussion, the girls voted to make the turkey and mushroom tacos and Parmesan- crusted fries for their parents. They jumped right in and started the prep work needed to double the recipes. Liliana Hernandez worked on chopping the onions and peppers while Sammi Springer and Jayla Hale set up an assembly line to cut and coat the zucchini. Alison Morales said she would be in charge of dessert- very confidently chopping the strawberries and the apple, squeezing the lemon, and measuring all ingredients for the base.

They were very proud of their accomplishments,and their was not one morsel left!
