Here's the weekly roundup on who people are picking in Sunday's Eagles-Titans matchup:
SI.com's Peter King predicts a 27-25 Titans win:
Here's a strange one for you: Tennessee is 11-0 against NFC teams in the past 24 months. I say it gets to 12, narrowly, even if Vince Young has to give way to Kerry Collins. In fact, after watching the Monday-nighter, that might be better for Tennessee.
Four of six FoxSports.com experts pick the Eagles.
FoxSports.com's Peter Schrager likes the Birds, 30-23:
Michael Vick and Kevin Kolb have combined for five 100-plus passer-rating performances in the first six games this season. The most 100-plus rating games in a season by the Eagles during the Andy Reid era is nine, by Donovan McNabb in 2004. Yet, for as wonderful as the quarterback play has been in Philly this year, props need to be given out to the patchwork offensive line, too. Tackle King Dunlap (Full name: King David Dunlap V), disregarded as an overweight catastrophe out of Auburn prior to the 2008 NFL Draft, has shed his seventh-round status (and several pounds in the process) and become a stalwart in protecting Kolb’s blindside. The Eagles are flyin’ and the no-name offensive line is one of the major reasons why. Give me Philly over the red-hot Titans in this one.
ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio has the Eagles taking home a 30-20 victory:
The Titans have been inconsistent, and the Eagles are hitting a groove after knocking off the 4-1 Falcons. If the Broncos were able to take down the Titans in Nashville, the Eagles should be able to swoop in and outscore the Titans.
Gregg Rosenthal of ProFootballTalk.com goes with the Titans, 26-21:
I'm on the Titans bandwagon. The Titans own a defense greater than the sum of its parts, and an offense with underrated parts (Michael Roos, either quarterback, Kenny Britt.) Tennessee has a nasty group up front on both sides of the ball, which will give Philly problems. Maybe I'm on the bandwagon because I took them to win the AFC South. All right, it's definitely because I took them to win the AFC South.
Three of five CBSSports.com experts like the Titans.
Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com predicts a 24-14 Titans victory:
The issue here is the health of the quarterbacks. Both teams have questions. It will probably be Kevin Kolb for the Eagles and Kerry Collins for the Titans. The Titans are playing on a short week, but I think the difference here is with their pass rush. The guys up front will dominate the Eagles offensive line.
The ESPN Sunday Countdown guys are split on Eagles-Titans.
Five of eight ESPN.com experts go with the Titans.
ESPN.com's Bill Simmons likes the Eagles as 3-point underdogs:
If Philly is really the NFC's best team, it should be able to beat the AFC's seventh-best team ... right? And if it can't, then why haven't we wagered on the AFC -3 for the Super Bowl yet?
The action is split, according to sportsbook.com. 54 percent of the money is on the Titans to cover the 3-point spread. 46 percent is on the Eagles.
