I like the pick. This guys got real good speed. You don't have to be big. They still have Basket and Avant for red zone targets.

Stupid pick...they should have gone for free agent PROVEN wideout. This is typical philly sports franchise management. Only the Phillies have made deals that made any sense; hence, they have a championship.

Donovan must be ecstatic. They finally gave him a weapon. One question. Who will run behind westbrook?

Great pick. Can't believe he fell to 19. Nice job by Andy moving up to keep any other teams from moving up to get him at 19. With four 5th round picks and two 6th round picks, that wasn't much to give up to move up 2 spots. Defensive coordinators are going to have nightmares about all of the speed that the Eagles have...Curtis, Jackson and Maclin are all fast...Westbrook is one of the fastest backs...Celek has good speed for a TE...Weaver has good speed for a FB. Speed kills and you can't coach speed.

Charles Casserly (NFL Network and former NFL GM) just called Jeremy Maclin the "Best Value Pick IN the First Round".

I can't stand people keep saying this was a stupid pick and that if they wanted a WR with the 1st round pick they should have gotten a proven veteran. Then what's the point of the draft? If that's what a team should do to get a WR in the 1st round there wouldn't have been any vets left because Oakland, San Francisco, and Minnesota would have all traded their picks for vets. The Giants, Titans, and Ravens didn't get Boldin and the G-men and Titans went with WRs. The WR rookies may take a bit longer to fully contribute to the team but you have to get them at some point. A good value pick for the Eagles. Maclin should at least provide the Eagles with a very dangerous return man this fall and has a bright future.

Maclin is PR and KR and he's far too dangerous to not see the field at least on some O plays. Get immediate value out of him on returns, especially if you move DeSean Jackson and Quentin Demps to starting positions.

Let's face it, this guy was in the top 10 of most mock drafts (SI had him rated No.6 in their top 50, Scouts Inc. No. 9, etc.)...Maclin is a steal.

Loved the picked. DMac+JMac=Best QB/Wideout tandem combo in the NFL in '09!! Go birds. Now, we need running back....not sure who is the best fit at this point. Perhaps, Jenning?

hey, chbus7, i wanted boldin, too, but thank god they didn't get edwards from cleveland, that would have been dump. as to maclin, in addition to getting into the end zone a lot, i like the way he behaves when he gets there.

Exciting picks, JMac & DMac, Westbrook, and LeSean, looking forward for season after 4 1/2 years of Fl and coming home to enjoy for a while. See you at Superbowl.
