Tonight: Eagles-Panthers game blog


As I mentioned in the previous post, I will be blogging while watching the Eagles-Panthers game on TV tonight so check back later for updates and chime in with your thoughts.

In the meantime, the Daily News and Inquirer writers have plenty to get you ready for the game. Bob Brookover and Les Bowen chime in with their respective thoughts on what to watch for this evening.

Rich Hofmann wonders if Eagles fans are bored this season, and takes a look at dwindling attendance at Lehigh for training camp. Plus stories on Reggie Brown, DeSean Jackson and the last day of training camp -- all in philly.com's Eagles section.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Joe Horn was a guest on the Dan Patrick show earlier today, and he had some interesting thoughts on where he'd like to play. Horn is currently with the Falcons, but he wants out. Patrick pressed Horn to name some teams he'd like to play for, and here's what he said.

"Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles... there’s a lot of teams that I feel are on the verge of the next step of winning the Super Bowl."

Later in the interview, Horn said he wouldn't mind teaming up with Brett Favre on the Jets either.

So does he have anything left? Horn definitely thinks so. He said he knows he can still play in the NFL and be productive.

Horn is 36. He appeared in 12 games last year for the Falcons and caught 27 balls for 243 yards. Somehow, I don't think those are the kinds of numbers that are likely to excite Eagles fans.
