T.O. responds to jealousy claim

Yesterday, we wrote about ESPN.com and other outlets reporting about a possible rift with the Cowboys stemming from Terrell Owens' jealousy of the relationship between Tony Romo and Jason Witten.

In today's Dallas Morning News, T.O. responded.

"I'm not jealous of Witten," Owens told Calvin Watkins Thursday night. "I'm not jealous of nobody. I can take the approach that I got paid, so screw everything, but that's not me."

Owens and the team's other receivers had a private meeting with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett yesterday to "get all the stuff out in the air" according to Patrick Crayton.

"I just want to win," Owens told the newspaper. "I'm not trying to create a war of words with anybody. I thought we had a productive meeting, and I just talked to Jason about Tony reading the whole play because other people are open besides Witten."

Meanwhile, sources close to Witten and Romo said they were taken aback by yesterday's report. The Cowboys play the Giants on Sunday night. The Eagles play Dallas at the Linc in Week 17.
