Super Bowl pick and prop bets

I've delayed my Super Bowl pick as long as possible but it's finally time to make a selection.

I should make it clear though. I can't stand the Super Bowl.

I hate Super Bowl parties. I hate the commercials. I hate the hoopla. I hate the two-week buildup. And I hate bean dip.

Ok, that's a lie. I like bean dip. But you get the point.

The Super Bowl is usually about everything except the game. And if you think the Eagles' four NFC championship losses have something to do with my bitterness, you're probably right.

But this is an NFL blog so we have to make a pick.

If the Cardinals can protect

, they have a chance.

is a difference-maker, and Warner can pick apart defenses if he has time.

had some quality runs in the first half against the Eagles, but I'd be surprised if he gets anything going against Pittsburgh.

For the Steelers' offense, it's all about protecting the ball. The Eagles' offense showed you can score in bunches against Arizona.

was terrible in his first Super Bowl performance, but he still came away with a ring. As long as the Steelers don't turn it over, both on offense and special teams, they should come away with the win.

The one thing I like about the Super Bowl is the prop bets. I actually hit on one of these last time Pittsburgh was in the Super Bowl, when Roethlisberger ran in the Steelers' first touchdown.

You can get bet on pretty much anything with this game, including the coin toss. Here's a rundown of some of the ones I like this year:

Pass (even)

Run (-130)

I like the pass.

Yes (even)

No (-130)

I say yes.

Over 2.5 (+110)

Under 2.5 (-140)

Give me the over.

Yes (-110)

No (-120)

I say yes.

Over 38.5 (-125)

Under 38.5 (-105)

Give me the over.

Heath Miller (+700)

Enjoy the game. I'll post 10 observations tonight.
