Report: Stallworth expected to be charged

A quick follow-up on the Donte' Stallworth situation. We'll get to Jay Cutler and other news later today.

According to the Miami Herald, Stallworth's Bentley struck and killed 59-year-old Mario Reyes in Miami just after 7 a.m. Saturday morning

The investigation is ongoing, but sources tell Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports that Stallworth is expected to be charged.

“The police seem pretty confident that they’re going to charge him,” a source told Cole. “ … Even if he [is] clean, I think the police feel he’s going to be charged with something, regardless.”

Possible charges include driving under the influence, vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving, according to Cole. Results of blood tests for drug and alcohol are still pending.

Stallworth spent 2006 with the Eagles before signing with the Patriots the following season. He is now a member of the Cleveland Browns.
