The focus tonight when the NFL schedule is announced will be on the date when the Redskins come to Philadelphia and Donovan McNabb makes his return.

But there could be another twist to that meeting, according to an ESPN report.

McNabb has encouraged the Redskins to think about adding Terrell Owens, per Ed Werder and Sal Paolontonio.

Wouldn't that be something?

McNabb and Owens apparently have made up after their disastrous divorce here. The two taped an episode of Spike TV's Pros vs. Joes recently, teaming up to play former NBA players in a game of hoops.

T.O. worked out for the Bengals earlier this offseason, but is still without a team.

At 36, Owens had 55 catches for 829 yards and five touchdowns last season with the Bills. He averaged 15.1 yards per catch and has missed just one game in his last four seasons.

Per the report, the Redskins are not actively considering Owens as an option, but that could change.

The Redskins have been looking at wide receivers recently. Yesterday, they signed Marques Hagans and Roydell Williams, a pair of wideouts.

McNabb and T.O. hooked up for 20 touchdowns in 21 regular-season games with the Eagles in 2004-05.

Remember the hype in 2006 when Owens made his return to the Linc? He dropped a pass during warm-ups and the crowd went nuts.

Multiply that by about 100 if he signs with the Redskins and the pair returns to the Linc together.

Thoughts?
