Where will L.J. Smith land?

Just as I finished the Sean Considine post, I came across another item involving a (soon-to-be) ex-Eagle.

Tight end L.J. Smith will visit the Detroit Lions, according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.

Schefter speculates that Smith could be a fit with two other teams: the Atlanta Falcons and the Cleveland Browns.

Lost in all the Dawkins/Houshmandzadeh/Ward/Springs/Buckhalter action since the start of free agency is the fact that the Birds still need to address the tight end position.

A recap of what we've had so far today:

Sean Considine will get a chance to start with the Jaguars

Safety Jim Leonhard has signed with the Jets

The Cowboys have been quiet so far

More tonight if I see anything. If not, we'll get caught up Wednesday (wrote "Tuesday" by accident earlier) morning.
